SAN YSIDRO — The San Ysidro School District is investigating how a 13-year-old middle school student received the H1N1flu vaccination last week over her objections and against the will of her parents.
Jose Gomez, 39, said he signed a form last November stating his daughter, a student at San Ysidro Middle School, was not to get a shot and reaffirmed that position to two people last week. The school provided vaccinations on Thursday.
District Nurse Anita Gillchrest said she investigated the incident and has forwarded a report to Superintendent Manuel Paul, but she said she could not reveal the details.
Gomez said San Ysidro Middle School officials insisted he sign a consent form even though he did not want his daughter to receive the vaccination. He said he was instructed to write “refuse” on the form and turn it in, which he did.
Nonetheless, his daughter was pulled from class to get the vaccination. She advised the security guard who escorted her to the vaccination area that she was not supposed to get the shot and was told that maybe “her mom changed her mind,” Gomez said.
The girl also told the woman providing the vaccines from the county health department that she was not supposed to receive the shot, Gomez said.
“According to their safety guidelines, if any child said ‘No,’ they were supposed to contact the parent,” Gomez said. “My daughter said no and they didn’t bother to contact me or my wife.”
Gomez said he did not want his daughter to receive the vaccination because he did not know what the solution contained and because his youngest daughter has allergic reactions to vaccinations.
“I didn’t want to risk it,” Gomez said. “Everyone gives you a different story about this vaccine and it’s scary.”

Let me recap. Six months ago I reviewed the latest bit of terrorism to emerge from the government's Cobra bunker, courtesy of Alan Johnson, home secretary. Swine flu was allegedly ravaging the nation. The BBC was intoning nightly statistics on what "could" happen as "the deadly virus" took hold. The chief medical officer, Sir Liam Donaldson, bandied about any figure that came into his head, settling on "65,000 could die", peaking at 350 corpses a day.
Donaldson knew exactly what would happen. The media went berserk. The World Health Organisation declared a "six-level alert" so as to "prepare the world for an imminent attack". The happy-go-lucky virologist, John Oxford, said half the population could be infected, and that his lowest estimate was 6,000 dead.
The "Andromeda strain" was stalking the earth, and its first victims were clearly scientists. Drugs were frantically stockpiled and key workers identified as vital to be saved for humanity's future. Cobra alerted the army. Morgues were told to stand ready. The Green party blamed intensive pig farming. The Guardian listed "the top 10 plague books".
If anyone dared question this drivel, they were dismissed by Donaldson as "extremists". When people started reporting swine flu to be even milder than ordinary flu, he accused them of complacency and told them to "wait for next winter". He was already buying32m masksand spending more than £1bn onTamiflu and vaccines. Surgeries refused entry to those with flu symptoms, referring them to a government "hotline" where prescription drugs were ordered to be made available without examination or doctor's note. Who knows how many died of undiagnosed illness as a result? Lines were instantly jammed. It was pure, systematic government-induced panic – in which I accept that the media played its joyful part.
This week the authorities admitted that, far from a winter upturn in swine flu, there has been a slump. From 100,000 a week at the peak, there were just 12,000 last week. After the coldest winter for decades, when deaths might be expected to rise, the rate is below that of seasonal flu. In the UK, 360 people have died under its influence, most with prior "non-flu" conditions. Swine flu is not nice – I have had it – but bears no relation to the government hysteria.
I accept that anyone can make a mistake, and authority has some duty to err on the side of caution. As Alastair Campbell implied on Tuesday, Iraq might have had weapons of mass destruction, so Blair was right to go to war just in case. But it is reasonable to ask, as the Chilcot inquiry is doing, why precaution on such a colossal and potentially destructive scale was justified when those who questioned the need for it have since been proved right. Is anyone asking about flu?
Swine flu is not the first time we have suffered this nonsense. I have a stack of predictions by senior scientists on BSE/CJD in 1995. It would "lead to 136,000 deaths" – a spurious exactitude used to convey plausibility – and "could infect up to 10 million Britons". This led to an obscene £5bn campaign of cattle destruction and compensation. When the prediction proved wildly wrong, the government excused itself with a classic Rumsfeld-ism: "The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence."
This was followed by Sars 2003, a "panic gripping the world". The World Health Organisation declared that "One in four Britons could die". The medical doom-monger, Dr Patrick Dixon, said that Sars had "a 25% chance of killing tens of millions", whatever that meant. The madcap Tory health spokesman, Liam Fox, demanded the arrest and quarantining of all recent travellers from Asia, including 30,000 Asian students.
In the event, some 800 people died with Sars worldwide, against 21,000 who died in Britain in the seasonal flu epidemic of 1999/2000.
Undaunted, within a year the same alarmists were at work on avian flu. With now habitual hyperbole, Donaldson predicted 50,000 deaths, with "an upper limit", graciously conceded, of 750,000. When one dead swan slumped on a beach in Scotland, BBC reporters went crazy as inspectors stumbled through the seaweed, clad in anti-nuclear armour. Within a year the horror had passed. The global mortality was put at 262, with not one death in Britain. Another fiasco was brushed under the carpet.
The Blair government, and now Brown's, have proved adept at using scare politics to divert attention from other troubles. During foot-and-mouth Blair was quick to don a yellow jumpsuit for photographers and intone as if he alone stood between an illness (that is in fact harmless to humans) and armageddon. This time the swine flu coincided with two other "mystery diseases", MRSA and C-difficile, which killed 10,000 Britons in 2007 alone. But those deaths lay squarely at the doors of unclean NHS hospitals. Hence there were no scary stories or predictions about them from Donaldson.
Donaldson and his eager virologists will doubtless stick loyally to their predictions since it is "too early to be complacent". His allies at the BBC did their bit on Wednesday with a Horizon programmethat turned a serious study of virology into grotesque scaremongering, with solemn music and voices crying, "there's no escape", "this could take a devilish turn", and "we don't even know how many viruses there are!" Children writhed in agony from smallpox.
Mad scientist syndrome is rampant. Had these scares been disseminated by a private firm, a local authority or a newspaper (as was anti-MMR), they would be damned from on high with demands that heads roll. As it is, the government's Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies sails gaily on, still graced by the presenceof Sir Roy Anderson, who happens also to draw a six-figure salary as a non-executive director of GlaxoSmithKline, which made hundreds of millions from the government's panic. Anderson, and GSK, vigorously deny any conflict of interest.
The Council of Europe's head of health,Wolfgang Wodarg, is one of the few who have dared blow the whistle on the links between "Big Pharma" and national and supranational agencies. He this week persuaded the council to stage a debate on the "enormous gains" made by GSK and others from the swine flu pandemic. He seeks details of relations between the companies and the WHO, given that stockpile contracts kick in the moment that organisation uses the word "pandemic". It did so for the first time last year, with reckless alacrity.
I am not aware of the WHO or the General Medical Council or any of the medical colleges investigating these matters, or any check on conflicts of interest of government doctors who work for drugs companies. I am not aware of any Whitehall or Commons committee, any National Audit Office or competition inquiry into the supply of these drugs. All I know is that a huge amount of health money, time and effort was last year diverted from possibly critical therapies into what looked from the start to be yet more terror virology.
This is why people are ever more sceptical of scientists. Why should they believe what "experts" say when they can be so wrong and with such impunity? Weapons of mass destruction, lethal viruses, nuclear radiation, global warming … why should we believe a word of it? And it is a short step from don't believe to don't care.
They played on our fears "To quote Al Gore" Big Pharma was a huge supporter of Barrack Hussein Obama during his campaign if you remember so it stands to reason that he would repay their contributions by created pandemic. They do what they always do, crank up the fear to get the public to fall in line then dismiss any criticism as extremist or tin foil hat wearing folk and conspiracy cooks!
The notion of using scare tactics to divert attention away from other things like oh lets see, pushing through an unpopular healthcare bill that the people do not want, falling popularity in the polls, scandal about a birth certificate, corruption within the administration, shouldn't suprise anyone here should it. Happens all the time - false flags, invented crisis', or the never ending ability to exploit a natural catastrophe for the same political gain and ruse. Funny thing is that the people, at least here in the USA aren't buying it and there is an excess of leftover vaccines. Quite frankly the public either doesn't trust the government, or have been educated enough through the alternative media outlets online to the scam being perpetrated for profit, the false pandemic and the dangers of the vaccine.
Expect them to rachet up the hype in the coming months to try to con the rest of us to be vaccinated!

Latinos, blacks and Native Americans in the state have been more likely to die from swine flu than whites, data show!
California Latinos have been nearly twice as likely as whites to die of H1N1 flu since the pandemic began last spring, according to statewide figuresreleased Thursday by the California Department of Public Health.
Over the same months, blacks in the state have been 50% more likely to die of H1N1 flu than whites, the report said.
"Not everybody has been impacted equally" by H1N1, said state epidemiologist Dr. Gilberto Chavez, who added that statistics have shown "very important racial disparities" in H1N1 mortality and hospitalization rates.
Chavez said blacks were three times as likely as whites to be hospitalized with H1N1 flu, and Latinos twice as likely. Native Americans, who make up most of the "other" category in state H1N1 data, are also more likely to be hospitalized and die of H1N1 flu than whites, he said.
The new statewide figures came out less than a week after Los Angeles County health officials released data showing H1N1, also known as swine flu, had disproportionately struck the young and minorities in the county.
There are several reasons for the higher mortality and hospitalization rates among some minorities, Chavez said.Blacksand Latinos have high rates of chronic health conditions, such as diabetes and obesity, that studies by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate put them at greater risk for flu, he said. They also tend to have less access to healthcare and wait longer to seek help, he said, which reduces the chances for successful treatment with antiviral medication.
"For cultural reasons, they may be waiting too long to seek care," Chavez said. "This gives us an idea of who we need to target for outreach and immunizations."
More difficult to explain, Chavez said, is why Asians were more likely than whites to be hospitalized with H1N1, yet are less likely to die of it.
Chavez said state officials are still compiling an ethnic breakdown of those vaccinated against H1N1 flu and trying to determine whether there is a connection between vaccinations and lower mortality or hospitalization rates.
About 55% of patients hospitalized with H1N1 flu in L.A. County were Latino, 130 of 237 patients as of Aug. 3, the most recent data available from the countyDepartment of Public Health. Of the total, 17% were white, 8% black, 4% Asian, 2% other and 14% unknown (meaning hospital staff failed to determine and report a patient's ethnicity to the county), records show.
The "unknowns" were probably distributed evenly among ethnicities and did not skew the other ethnic percentages, according to Elizabeth Bancroft, the department's medical epidemiologist.
Those hospitalizations occurred before the county sponsored 109 public vaccination clinics in the fall. Of those vaccinated at the clinics, 29% were Asian, 44% Latino, 3% black and 19% white as of Nov. 25, the most recent information available, county health officials said.
Los Angeles County is 47% Latino, 29% white, 13% Asian and 8% black, according to the most recent census figures.
Dr. Jonathan E. Fielding, director of the county's Public Health Department, said the H1N1 figures were not surprising given the county's large Latino population, which skews younger.
Statewide, 8,400 people have been hospitalized with H1N1 flu and 479 have died, Chavez said. The number of deaths and hospitalizations has decreased markedly since October, Chavez said, but half the state population is still considered susceptible.
"We leave ourselves vulnerable if we do not vaccinate more people," he said.
On Monday, state public health officials announced a targeting youths. The program allows individuals to text "No Flu" and their ZIP Code to 30644 and receive a text message with flu-related information, including alerts and the nearest clinic, pharmacy or other provider that has the H1N1 vaccine.

Along with the U.S. government’s numerous military entanglements, there are a series of “smaller” wars that the state carries out against the people who reside within its borders. These “wars” all bear the crisis logo, and they are always targeted at protecting you from something — real, exaggerated, or contrived — that requires massive government intervention and the curtailment of liberties in order to win the war.
Thewar on the swine fluhas been an ongoing affair for the government-media partnership that turned this issue into the most overrated story of 2009. Government officials, up to and including the president, have placed a disproportionate amount of emphasis on a barely notable strain of flu and have used it as justification for embarking on a health jihad that has come to dominate American society. Thanks to this latest offensive, America is chock-full of hallway hand sanitizers in corporate and public buildings; mini-hand sanitizers being passed around like a tin of mints; and posters stuck everywhere telling you how to sneeze, cough, breathe, and properly wash your hands. The Henson Company even produceda collectivist and creepy propaganda piecefor children, urging them to get a flu shot for the good of the community.
It is true that a gaggle of faithful followers lined up to offer their bodies — and thebodies of their children— as guinea pigs for the H1N1 vaccine that had never been fully tested. They lined up at sites where the vaccine first became available. As time went on, however, public opinion was swayed by an abundance of evidence that the issue was being oversold in order to build a watershed of crisis and fear. Americans began to refuse the vaccinations, and in fact, many people started speaking out against them as they questioned the vaccine’s necessity and safety.
The swine flu frenzy that was commenced and amplified by the U.S. government and its hordes of international lackeys has been a splendid example of misusing propaganda to build hysteria to such an excessive degree that it not only becomes ineffective, but it becomes counterproductive. The mingling of tempered reality with unrestrained fantasy to a degree where the assertions become almost comical leads those who are being propagandized to view the embellishments as serving a divergent and possibly sinister cause.
For instance, in August of 2009, the CDCreleased a reportthat stated the swine flu pandemic could cause up to 90,000 deaths. This report would help to serve as justification for the government’s massive fear mongering campaign, including early indications that there would be mandatory vaccinations. In late October, the CDCreported about 1,000 deathsfrom the swine flu, and two weeks laterthe CDC reported 4,000 deaths. How is that possible? Did 3,000 people die between late October and early November? The CDC spun the story this way: earlier numbers being used were giving the government “an incomplete story of the pandemic.” The CDC’s original count included only laboratory confirmed cases, while its new numbers included estimates from epidemiologists. This way, the numbers could be gamed and a story of far greater severity could be peddled to the public. This all came about at a time when the swine flu numbers were already taking a nosedive and not living up to the government’s bullish pandemic predictions.
Perhaps the most comical scaremongering ruse in the whole swine flu circus was the Department of Homeland Security’s contingency plansto ration Internet bandwidth and block websites to avoid a possible overrun of Internet provider capacity should too many Americans come down with the swine flu and stay home to surf the Internet all day.
As the flu tizzy has wound down and started to disappear from the media headlines, I have been waiting patiently for a perspective to appear in mainstream print that refuses to let go of the hysteria, and instead attempts to amplify it. The Wall Street "Swine Flu" Journal doesn’t disappoint:
Global health officials' response to the swine-flu pandemic reflects major improvements in flu-fighting capabilities in recent years, but limited vaccine supplies, crowded emergency rooms, and other challenges show they still aren't fully equipped to combat a deadlier scourge, the World Health Organization's chief said.
While a second wave of infections caused by the H1N1 virus has ebbed in North America and Western Europe, transmission of flu remains intense in Central and Eastern Europe and parts of southern Asia, and health authorities must monitor its spread for another year or more, WHO Director-General Margaret Chan said in an interview this week.
"It is premature to say the pandemic has peaked world-wide," she said. "The situation needs to be watched and monitored at least another six to 12 months." The virus could still mutate to become more severe, she warned.
State bureaucrats 'round the world, and especially in the U.S., can't stand it. They are absolutely disappointed that their perfidious pandemic was a bust, a flop, and a non-pandemic. Of course, there are no limited vaccine supplies or overwhelmed emergency rooms — that was a liar's cacophony for the purpose of using the swine flu epidemic as a control mechanism.
Currently, what I am seeing from the press is a bunch of inept fear mongering about a "third wave" of the swine flu — and this comes at a point when the general public long ago lost interest in the so-called "second wave." The CBS Connecticut website ran a "third wave" bulletinthat says since a third wave is "possible," and people should still be vaccinated. Federal despots, unwilling to be left out of either wave and the ensuing disinformation fever, have chimed in with the CDC's warningof a third wave in January. The story states, "The CDC reports fewer people getting sick. That may not be the case come January." Remind me of what happened to the "second wave," or even the first?
I am amused each time I go into a Walgreens, or drive by a CVS, health clinic, doctor's office, or urgent care center. They all have signs in the windows, on the doors, and even outside in front of their buildings: "H1N1 - get your shots here." No one wants the vaccination so they have to push it and advertise it. Next thing you know they'll be doing "buy one get one free" H1N1 shots or having blue light specials. In fact, many places are already giving away free vaccines. Isn't this the same vaccination for which the U.S. government declared — over and over and over — there would be an extreme shortage, and we must all hurry and get it if such an opportunity appears? Again and again, Americans were being conditioned to believe that there was an undisputed, full-scale, worldwide health emergency that would soon mushroom into an uncontrollable killer flu, and our chances of being victims of some hideous health horror were higher than tripping and stubbing your toe.
Government, along with its obedient media arm, perpetually warned Americans of massive deaths, overrun hospitals, a shortage of lung machines, and the lack of available medical personnel to handle the massive overrun of resources that would be the result of a ginormous swine flu outbreak. Every day, every hour, the Swine Flu Journal, the Swine Flu Times, the Swine Flu Post, and all of those other organs of fear mongering and swine journalism, kept us up to date with play-by-plays of the expected date of H1N1 vaccination arrivals, the current shortage, and the expected time frames to relieve the shortage. Zillions of dollars were put into the pockets of the large and powerful Big Pharma interests who lobbied to sell the swine flu as a killer affliction and paid off scores of politicians and health bureaucrats to have it declared a pandemic. The U.S. governmentspent at least $2 billion dollarson vaccinations for Americans so that every single American could suck up Big Pharma's moneymaking toxic juice.
A study recently concluded by researchers at Harvard University and the Medical Research Council Biostatistics Unit in the U.K revealed that the spring 2009 flu cases signaled a flu season that might be only slightly worse than normal. Philip Alcabes, author ofDread: How Fear and Fantasy Have Fueled Epidemics From the Black Death to Avian Flu, while commenting on this study, stated in an interview on ABC News,
"I think that it was, from the very beginning, created as a crisis and overstated as a real threat," he said, adding that he did not want to understate the seriousness of influenza.
"Flu is a serious illness, it kills people," he said. But, he added, "It does a disservice to public health when, in the name of a preparedness crusade, people create a narrative of crisis or catastrophe before we have enough data that this is happening."
The swine flu panic was a profligate hoax on the part of government autocrats and special interests — spearheaded by Big Pharma and the medical establishment — that stood to profit from its existence. A strain of flu was defined as a death-dealing pandemic in order to develop a rationale for launching a sweeping campaign of health tyranny against American citizens while corporate state interests stood to benefit hugely from the terror campaign.
In spite of holding all the cards, the government’s swine flu scheme failed miserably. It failed because enough people had the backbone to stop listening to the tripe that dominated the public airwaves. The fizzle and flop was similar to the one that occurred, recently, in a Nigerian's underwear somewhere over Detroit. The whole thing fell flat on its face because the totalitarian government of Washington D.C. overplayed the drama and fear, and, like a broken record, its orders, advice, and dictates began to sound more and more like vaudeville one-liners.

That’s the contention by more than a dozen members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which reportedly plans to conduct an inquiry into the influence that drugmakers may have had on the World Health Organization, scientists and governments. Aresolutionwas introduced last month by Wolfgang Wodarg, a member of Germany’s Social Democratic Party who chairs the PACEhealth committee, and it reads:
“In order to promote their patented drugs and vaccines against flu, pharmaceutical companies have influenced scientists and official agencies, responsible for public health standards, to alarm governments worldwide. They have made them squander tight health care resources for inefficient vaccine strategies and needlessly exposed millions of healthy people to the risk of unknown side-effects of insufficiently tested vaccines. The birds flu campaign (2005-06) combined with the swine flu campaign seem to have caused a great deal of damage not only to some vaccinated patients and to public health budgets, but also to the credibility and accountability of important international health agencies. The definition of an alarming pandemic must not be under the influence of drugsellers.”
Wodarg contends that WHO standards forced governments to react by signing contracts and, consequently, taking almost all responsibility thereafter. “In this way, the producers of vaccines are sure of enormous gains without having any financial risks. So they just wait until WHO says ‘pandemic’ and activate the contracts,” Wodarg, who intends to hold an emergency debate this month, tells PharmaTimes. “The victims among millions of needlessly vaccinated people must be protected by their states, and independent scientific clarification should provide evidence and transparency for national and, if necessary, European courts.”
